2026 ILCA Masters Canadian Championship

The 2026 ILCA Masters Canadian Championship is a wrap!

Thank you to the 59 competitors that came to race, including 4 Legends, 13 Apprentices, 10 Masters, 13 Grand Masters and 19 Great Grand Masters!

We saw some fresh NW breezes on Friday averaging 13-17 knots with gusts up 25.  Saturday was gentler with some fickle winds from the Southwest. By Sunday, the winds were spent and there was no racing.  Each class ended up racing 5 races.

Wabamun Sailing Club would like to thank the many volunteers made the regatta possible, Alberta Sailing for hosting two fully attended coaching clinics prior to the regatta and for bringing a spare motorboat for the regatta, Karl Brady for organizing Team Saskatchewan, Rob Cullen for organizing Team BC, Peter van Muyden for creating the prizes, International Sailing Academy and Phil Paxton for providing door prizes and Mary Masicampo, Debbie Kirby and Rob Legate for taking photographs and video.
