From August 29th to September 1st, 2025, the scenic waters of our province hosted the annual Provincial Regatta, a gathering that brought together sailing enthusiasts from across Western Canada. This year, the event featured spirited competitions, thrilling races, and a sense of camaraderie among sailors and spectators alike.
The Wabamun Sailing Club (WSC) proudly entered its youth team in the competition, showcasing the talents of two promising sailors: Corbin Bailey and Luke Timmons. Both athletes demonstrated great sportsmanship and perseverance marking their debut at a regatta with great performances, while gaining valuable experience and confidence on the water.
Participants from various Alberta clubs as well and clubs from western provinces all came to the event, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation. While we
waited patiently for the wind to arrive…… Not to worry time was well spent filling our bellies with amazing food provided by Cindy and Cynthia along with an amazing group of Volunteers.
