A special celebration is held annually to honour the Commodore’s dedication and service to the Club. Marine tradition, which goes back hundreds of years, had a Sailpast where the Commodore would review the sailing fleet at a club. The day begins with the Hagen-Visman and the Memorial Cup races. After that Commodore and their family are ferried to the Barge and members sail past and salute the commodore. Once everyone is gathered back on shore a lovely reception is hosted by the Vice Commodore and members enjoy an afternoon of food, beverages and socializing.
